American Honda seeks STEM applications

The American Honda Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the American Honda Motor Company, is accepting applications from nonprofit organizations and schools for programs that support science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education. Environmental projects, job training, and literacy programs also will be considered.

Grants of up to $75,000 will be awarded to 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organizations, public school districts, and private/public elementary and secondary schools listed by the U.S. Department of Education's National Center for Education Statistics.

Amount: $75,000

Date due: The foundation accepts applications on a quarterly basis. Deadlines for the 2013 grantmaking cycle are February 1, May 1, August 1, and November 1.
